Spotting imitation sites
An imitation page may copy branding and offer a familiar login or payment button. Check the destination before sharing account or bank details.
Pause at the address
Type the known official address yourself or open a saved bookmark. A similar name, search advertisement, lock icon or local currency label alone cannot verify the operator.
- Be wary of urgent code or document requests.
- Check who operates the service against official Singapore guidance.
- Use the operator’s published support route to verify an unexpected message.
If you already entered details
Change the password through the genuine site, review account activity and contact your bank through its official channel if payment information was exposed.
A practical check
If a search result advertises an urgent offer, compare the destination with the operator address you already know. A visually identical page can still lead elsewhere. Close it if the address, request for codes or payment recipient is unexpected.
