RTP and volatility
Return to player and volatility describe a game over many plays. They cannot tell you what your next spin or session will return.
What RTP measures
Where a game publishes RTP, it is a long-run statistical proportion under a stated configuration. It is not a refund rate for an individual player. Check that the figure belongs to the version actually displayed.
- A higher published RTP does not guarantee a win.
- A short run can differ widely from a long-run average.
- The cost of each spin remains the full selected stake.
What volatility describes
Volatility describes the general pattern of smaller or larger payouts. It is not a promise about when one arrives. Choose a session limit in S$ before considering either number.
A practical check
If two versions of a title show different published RTP figures, do not average them or borrow a review figure. Find the information panel for the exact game configuration. If none is shown, leave the figure unverified and decide using your spending limit.
